Finishes

Aluminum clad, the most popular exterior, offers color flexibility and structural strength while providing a homeowner with a low maintenance exterior. Extruded aluminum frames and sash protect homes from the outdoors and add structural integrity for maximum functionality. We offer eight standard colors, thirty-eight feature colors, seven spray-on anodized colors and have the ability to match from a customer’s sample.

All of our standard, feature and custom color options are available in standard AAMA 2603 performance requirements. For architectural projects you may also specify AAMA 2605 performance specifications. Colors may appear to vary slightly due to the difference in gloss level. 2605 finishes have a lower level of gloss. Our spray-on anodized color options are available in AAMA 2604 performance requirements.

Actual color may vary from the color seem on your computer. Please see your Lincoln dealer for the latest available colors.

Standard Colors

Our standard colors are the mainstay of the clad product line. The popularity of these eight time-tested shades is proven in repeat customer demand.

Spray-On Anodized Colors

Add to that a collection of seven spray-on anodized colors and the possibilities are almost endless. This coating is specifically formulated to meet all of the requirements of AAMA 611, with the exception of abrasion resistance. Factory applied, it provides the qualities of a high performance painted finish, such as field repairability, color consistency, mortar resistance and chemical resistance - all with the look of anodized.

Trim

Add that finishing touch to the exterior of your windows and patio doors by trimming them with the many brickmould and casings offered by Lincoln. Along with richening the aesthetics of your home, these factory-applied trims reduce the installation labor and hassle.

Nailing Flange

A factory applied rigid aluminum nailing flange and color matched drip cap. This .050 extruded option features mitered corners with supplied gaskets.

Spread Mulls

Typical mulling is done with a tight unit to unit mull clip. Spread mulls add additional spacing between windows and patio doors. Popular rational for doing so would include: accommodating a special opening with standard size windows, to achieve a ‘heavier’ look and working around essential structural framing.

Spread mulls can be done both vertically and horizontally, open or filled, and are compatible with exterior trim options.

Panning Systems

These additional trims snap into the accessory groove which can add additional width and height to a window or patio door. This system will fill space from a window frame to the building thereby covering the framing material and nail fins. Incorporate an H-clip and create an adjustable panning used to join two units fairly far apart.

The panning system is a nice feature commonly used for remodeling when there are existing and varying openings.

Wood Species

Nothing enhances the look and feel of a room more than the richness and beauty of wood. Our standard pine interior is fine for most applications, but if you are looking to really enhance the character of your project, we offer five additional wood species.

Finishes

Natural Wood

Lincoln will leave your interior wood surface sanded smooth, ready for stain and sealer.

Primed

If you plan to paint the interior of your windows and patio doors, you can have them primed with a white factory applied water-based acrylic latex primer.

FirstFinish

To take things a step further, we also offer FirstFinish - a factory applied secondary coat of water-based acrylic latex primer. FirstFinish is intended to prep the unit for the final top-coat of paint to be applied.

Jamb Extensions

When installing a window, increasing the depth of the window frame to accommodate the wall thickness is sometimes necessary. This can easily be accomplished with the use of jamb extensions available in all six wood species.

Mull Casings

This is an interior trim covering that hides the joinery between mulled window assemblies and is commonly used when purchasing an applied extension jamb. Mull casings are available to match our wood species.

Trim - Radius Units Only

Lincoln offers interior trims in ten profiles. The benefit to our customers is the ability to shape the trim for a radius unit at the time of production. In addition, plinth blocks are available, to facilitate joining radius to straight trim.

The glass in windows and patio doors has the single largest effect on energy efficiency. Lincoln’s standard insulated glass offering includes double strength glass combined with a warm edge spacer. For greater energy efficiency, argon is added to all Low-E glass units, at no cost to the customer, with the exception of those units requiring capillary/breather tubes. These units include, but are not limited to, glass 12” and less in width or height and units shipped over high elevations. Lincoln does not guarantee that the initial argon fill rate will be maintained over the life of the product. Argon depletion may decrease energy efficiency. For more information, contact your local dealer or Lincoln Wood Products, Inc.

Overall insulated glass dimensions are 11/16” on double hungs, 7/8” on casements and 3/4” on patio doors. Choose Lincoln’s standard glass or a combination of energy efficient, low maintenance and specialty glass options for appearance, performance and comfort.

There are not only choices in the glass itself, there’s also variation in glazing. Here is another opportunity to have your windows and doors made to fit the interior design, décor and style of the room. Additionally, the exterior interacts with the overall architecture and creates fantastic curb appeal. Enhancing windows and doors with lite divisions definitely puts the icing on the cake. Although there are standard lite configurations designated for all products, custom designs are also welcome.

Simulated Divided Lites

Windows and doors may be enhanced with simulated divided lites. Both the interior wood bars and the exterior aluminum bars are sealed to the glass with 3M adhesives and are available in all of our Standard, Feature, Custom, and Spray-On Anodized colors.

Simulated divided lite products may be ordered with or without an internal aluminum gridwork; internal grille choices include mill finish and bronze. Simulated divided lites are available in 7/8”, 1-1/8” and 2” bar widths.

Interior Wood Grilles

Interior wood grilles are available in single profile widths of 5/8”, 1”, and 1-1/4” and in a double profile width of 7/8”. With or without a surround is an additional choice. Interior grilles offer the convenience of removal for the cleaning of interior glass. There is no obstruction to the exterior glass.

Another unobstructive manner of lite division is the addition of an internal aluminum grille. Inserted at time of insulated glass fabrication, internal aluminum grilles are 11⁄16” double profile and are available in all eight of our standard clad colors and six two-toned options. Two-toned colors are matched with white.

Mesh

Screens allow you to enjoy the fresh air while keeping insects and debris out of your home. Lincoln offers a vatiety of screen mesh options including: Aluminum, Fiberglass, BetterVue® and UltraVue®.

Aluminum is the most widely used metal for screens and is a great option for homes with pets or kids. Metal screens are popular in regions where insects routinely chew holes in fiberglass mesh.

Fiberglass is the most popular screen material due to its long-lasting and minimal maintenance qualities.

BetterVue is our standard screen mesh. It has thinner strands and a tighter weave than traditional fiberglass screen providing better visibility, increased light transmittance, greater airflow, improved curb appeal and enhanced protection from small insects (no-see-ums), debris and dust.

UltraVue® offers the most clarity of our screen mesh options. Constructed of fire-retardant charcoal fiberglass mesh, UltraVue® screens are engineered with even thinner strands and a tighter weave than our BetterVue® screen option for increased visibility, light transmittance, airflow and insect protection.

BetterVue® and UltraVue® are not available on windows with retractable screens, which will continue to use a traditional fiberglass mesh insect screen.

Retractable

Available on our traditional casement and our very popular push-out style casement, retractable screens roll up for convenient storage when not desired. Screens are operated with a simple touch and roll up with very little effort.

Enjoy crisp clean interior lines because operating tracks are hidden with a wood cover.

Hinged

Designed for our push-out style casement products, Lincoln’s hinged screen offers classic styling and excellent functionality. This screen option is supplied with an attractive color-matched knob for easy operation.

Casement

Lincoln offers a low profile folding handle on casement windows. Folding handles are advantageous for use with some window treatments and provide lower clearance for removal of the window screen. As standard, casement operating hardware (crank handle, operator cover and lever lock) are a soft coppertone color that blends well with most clear wood finishes. Six optional finishes are also offered.

Push-Out Casement

Single handle for easy operation available in three finishes. Multi-point locking system directly routed into the stile for greater performance, security and durability.

3-point stainless steel high-friction washability hinges on top and bottom keep the window in place and allow easy access to clean the glass from the inside.

Sash Limiters

Lincoln's optional sash limiters (two per unit) meet the requirements of ASTM F2090-10.

ASTM F2090-10: Standard Specification for Window Fall Prevention Devices With Emergency Escape (Egress) Release Mechanisms establishes requirements for devices intended to address the risk of injury and death associated with accidental falls from windows by children five years old and younger.

ASTM-compliant window opening control devices:

  • Allow a window to be opened less than 4 inches with 60-lbf direct force applied.
  • Allow a window to be fully opened if needed as a means of escape or rescue in an emergency with no more than 15lbf of force.
  • Require two actions to open the window fully for egress purposes.
  • Require the action to be performed without the use of keys, tools or special knowledge.
  • Reset automatically every time the window is opened.

Not available on push-out casements.
